Need a new mooring installed? Downeast Dive Services designs and builds dependable mooring systems tailored to your vessel, location, and bottom conditions. From selecting the proper anchor and tackle to complete installation, every mooring is built to meet or exceed U.S. Coast Guard standards and withstand Maine's demanding coastal environment.
Get your first mooring inspection done for free! We want to ensure that our harbors are safe, just as much as you want the reassurance that your boat will stay on its mooring safely. Certified divers perform underwater inspections to assess the integrity of your mooring system, preventing potential issues. Moorings need to be inspected every other year, and in some locations, a yearly inspection is recommended.
Sacrificial anodes (zincs) protect a boat’s underwater metal parts from galvanic corrosion. In saltwater, electrical currents cause metal to corrode. Zincs corrode first, protecting expensive components like propellers and lower units from damage. New Zincs are replaced and fastened to the propeller shaft, propeller, rudder, or transom if applicable.
